Do You Know Difference Between SEO and SMO
Internet marketing has grown to be a major and integral part of most businesses. Each and every website owner is trying their level best to ensure that their website ranks on top of other websites in the search engines and gets a lot of traffic. There are two ways you can achieve this one is through the use of SEO and the other SMO. Before we look at how this two different entities work let us first try to define them.

I agree with your that PR is not tagged with traffic but this is a part of online reputation into the eye of Google. Bigger the number we have the great reputation.
This is a well written article and We can say SMO with SEO is great concept and if we use them in better way with optimized than we can easily gain the authority with online success.

No doubt in that both SEO and SMO have their own importance and now it’s depend on us how we will do work with the help of them but in my point of view these two are two sides of a coin.

I think everyone needs SMO these days and that helps with the SEO. After all look at YouTube, Google Loves it and now i hear they are going to index FaceBook Comments also.
I agree that you need to do both to be succesfull in todays world, it is getting so competitive out there now, always need to be on top of everything and always learning new ways to beat the competition. it is a hard job to begin internet marketing these days as you always seem to be behind everybody else unless you put in the hours and learn the different ways to market.
Thanks for explaining the difference between SMO and SEO as I have read so man different sources and articles about it and nobody can explain it rather clearly.
In my professional opinion, SEO is on it’s way out. I’ve actually turned most of my SEO clients on their way to SMO/SMM. In my opinion, if you can combine some aspects of SEO and SMO you can really minimize your expenses while getting the most results. My strategy I’ve been using a lot with rather good results is, upon getting a client(or switching a client over from SEO to SMO), I write/hire a team to write twenty or thirty articles relating to their niche. From there, I use SocialOomph to schedule tweets, upload articles to WP and save them as drafts. From there, I publish an article every day or two, tweet it, share it on facebook, digg it, etc. and in between article publications, I share an outside relevant source on Twitter/Facebook. Seems to be working rather well for developing a large internet presence for my clients, while minimizing expenses. Simply write great content, and then share share share. Repeat.

Both SEO and SMO have importance on their own way. This is very good blog written on seo and smo. I think both have very important role to get higher rank in search engine and generate targeted traffic on your website.

create a forum for your site like ‘yoursite/forum’ , and let the readers creates article and put their comments( of course dofollow!)there.I agree that SEO is more important in the getting a client stage of your marketing but I think having solid SMO is far more important in the end game marketing. If you offer services/goods people are only going to come to your website when they think about you. Having them as a Facebook fan/Twitter follower means once a week you can slip in a note with your latest specials. People check their social media accounts daily.
